Jeff Claus is back! As a founding member and primary songwriter of the influential alt-folk-rock band The Horse Flies, Jeff brings decades of touring, recording, and musical exploration to Winter Village Music Camp. His inventive songwriting and groove-driven guitar and banjo uke playing have been praised by The New York Times and Rolling Stone for blending tradition with fearless experimentation. A passionate educator and longtime devotee of Southern traditional fiddle music, Jeff has taught at camps and festivals across North America and Europe. He also collaborates with Judy Hyman on acclaimed film scores and brings a deep love of rhythm, drone, and community to every workshop and jam session.
