Nate Sabat

Nate Sabat is an award-winning bassist, singer-songwriter, and arranger based in Beacon, NY, whose innovative playing seamlessly blends American folk traditions with dynamic bowed and plucked textures. A Berklee College of Music graduate and founding member of Mile Twelve, Nate has toured internationally on stages from Carnegie Hall to Celtic Connections and released his acclaimed solo album Bass Fiddler in 2024. Nate is a seasoned educator who has taught at premier camps like RockyGrass Academy and Kaufman Kamp, as well as authoring Dirt Simple: Upright Bass for Mel Bay Publications.
