Oliver Scanlon

Oliver Scanlon, fiddler, mandolinist, and gifted tunesmith whose music blends tradition with irresistible groove. He began his journey in the Vermont Youth Orchestra before discovering the vast world of fiddle music under the mentorship of Pete Sutherland. As an experienced teacher now based in Syracuse, he brings more than a decade of nurturing, insightful instruction to students of all ages and levels. Whether performing with his new dance band Stove Dragon or leading a workshop, Oliver shares music with warmth, curiosity, and a contagious love of community.
