Tom Hodgson

Boston native Tom Hodgson has been a staple rhythm guitarist in traditional music and dance ensembles for more than 45 years, specializing in New England, French-Canadian, and Celtic across North America and Europe. Throughout his career, he has performed and recorded with master musicians such as Martin Hayes, Randy Miller, Kerry Elkin, Donna Hebert, George Wilson, and hammered dulcimer virtuoso Dan Duggan.

A member of the Ithaca-based contradance band The Contradictions since 1992, Tom also accompanies top Finger Lakes region fiddlers including Eileen Nicholson Kalfass, Henry Jankiewicz, Tim Ball, and NYS Fiddle Hall of Fame inductee Hope Grietzer. He currently performs with String Theory alongside violinist Ariana Kim and members of The Contradictions.

Tom is a frequent performer and teacher at major music festivals worldwide, including the Festival of American Fiddle Tunes (WA), Le Grand Bal de l’Europe (France), and we are thrilled for him to be part of the faculty at Winter Village Music Camp!
